I will show a representative artwork at the salon-style show (location TBA) for the October 1 opening and the duration of the Drift weekend.

I will open my studio to the public on October 2 & 3 from 11 am–6 pm (must be within Drift boundary: Main St: Industrial Ave–33rd & between Fraser & Cambie)

I will share my studio space for this event with one or more artists ( a separate registration & fee must be submitted for each artist).

I am interested in displaying my work in selected retail businesses in the "DRIFT" area. (Preference will be given to those who cannot show in a studio).

I am interested in being interviewed for TV, Radio or Print.

NOTE: Drift Weekend in 2012 is soley dependent on volunteer participation.  Most of all, the Drift needs one or more individuals who is/are willing and able to be a volunteer coordinator.  Volunteers are needed to liaise with businesses, coordinate artists and businesses, and many other tasks that make this weekend a success.  Without you, there is no event.The Drift is an non-profit artist run society. This agreement is important so you understand your responsibility to the Drift, the other artists, participating retailers, and to the public. I agree to the following: My artwork is one of a kind or limited edition, not mass produced work. The Drift and/or the participating businesses are not responsible for loss or damage to the art work shown. The responsibility of insurance is that of the artist. The Drift is an artist-run event. We require you to do some volunteering. See entry form for volunteer opportunities. For Artists showing in a Business: I will be responsible for contacting my business host by September 15, and setting up a convenient time to hang my work on or before October 1, 2011. - My work will be presented in a gallery-ready state, framed and/or mounted. - I will consult the business manager in a timely & respectful fashion in regards to set-up, take-down, care of walls, etc. - I will supply a printed, and mounted or framed ARTIST'S STATEMENT to be hung with my work. - I will supply attractive professional-looking labels for each work (white card, black lettering – your name, contact number, title of work, price). In cooperation with the business manager, I will make sure that Drift publicity materials are kept replenished and that Drift signage is clearly on display and visible from the street. I will make myself available at a time mutually agreed upon with the business owner to meet Drift visitors and answer questions about the Drift and my art. For Open Studios: - Your studio must be within Drift boundary: (Main St.: Industrial Ave.-33rd  & between Fraser & Cambie) - Each artist showing in your studio must fill out an entry form and pay by cash or cheque. You can pay for one or more artists on one cheque. - You agree to be open at the times and dates stated on the entry form. (We cannot have the public arrive at a closed door or building during our posted hours.) - Set up your studio to provide a safe environment for public.
