Thanks to all who came out and gave their feedback and ideas for the Drift 2008 and beyond. Drifters new and old had a chance to socialize, listen to some fine music by the Gentle Infidels and win super raffle prizes donated by Drift artists Len Budiwski and Heather Armour, Loomis Art Supplies, Rath's Art Supplies and Lugz Coffee and The Mount Pleasant BIA . Space available at G&F for April/May Any active Drift member who would like to display their work at G&F Financial for April/May, please contact Heather Armour for details : leorysing@yahoo.ca Creative City Task Force Survey The City of Vancouver Creative City Task Force is asking all artists and arts groups to complete an online survey to help them with the "Cultural Facilities and Priorities Plan". This is a chance to give your feedback on the status of affordable studio space for artists in Vancouver and to help assess current and future space demand. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. For artists and individual creators take the survey at: www.bettermail.ca/143/307 Get your Drift t-shirt or tote bag wth the new logo! All Drifters who signed up and paid their membership fee on or before January 24 are eligible for a free t-shirt or organic cotton tote bag with the new Drift logo. All proceeds to support the Main Art Drift Society. Cash only please. AGM Coming Up Soon The Main Art Drift Society will hold its Annual General Meeting in mid-April. The place, date and time will be announced soon. All active Drift members are eligible to be nominated for office and to nominate & vote for new officers . If you are interested in taking a more active role, come to the next Drift Board meeting: Wednesday, March 5, 6:30 pm at Beverly Grice’s place 659 East 11th Avenue (West of Fraser, studio on the ground floor, entrance at the back of the house.) Volunteer! Get involved and help make this year's Drift a success. We need volunteers to help with preparation for the event, as well as during the Drift weekend itself- October 3, 4 & 5.
