Since a young age I have been an artist. For me, to really connect with and experience my surroundings, I have to explore it on paper or canvas. My art is never about being a realistic picture of what I see only with my eyes, but rather an expression of how I feel about a particular person or location perceived by all the senses, and how that face or place has developed me as an individual. Any given piece of mine is only successful if, when viewed over and over again, it evokes the same feelings the experience it depicts was meant to. I have been drawing and painting for years, but have only recently worked to make my work public.
My favourite media to work with has always been acrylic paint, as I love how vibrant the colours can be made and various effects can be achieved through layering colour. However I'm increasingly using other media such as watercolour, pastel, and pen & ink.
